Design Flaw Impedes Usefulness

This is a great humidor with one glaring design flaw. I buy cigars as singles, not by the box. The massive bottom drawer does not allow me to use it to store more than a few cigars, thus reducing the USEFULL capacity. The massive drawer thus sits almost completely empty, creating a void of approximately 20% of the humidor's volume making it hard to keep the humidity up to where I want it. This could have easily been fixed by design or remedied by offering a shelf/drawer that fits & could be used in the already existing side rail. The offering of the shelf/drawer could be an added profit generator for Newair. I was going to buy another one, but this flaw has me looking elsewhere. So sad as I have had several Newair humidors I love!

Lack of replacement parts

I purchased this unit almost 3 years ago at the time of this review. My general comment on unit performance when it was working are similar to other reviewer's complaints. The water tank is too small. 1 week of humidity is pitiful. I also have noticed the inaccuracies of the humidity meter.
A few weeks ago the display board failed and started displaying nonsense, beeping and not working. I worked with NewAir Support to order a few board and install. No issues there I've had a consistent support tech during all the back and forth which is great. Newair does deserve some credit with their attentive and high quality live support. With the display board replaced, we could now see the HH code it was throwing. The instructions were to let it dry out for a week and try again. I did that and it still kept throwing the code. The new remedy is to replace the humidity control board. The problem is, they are out of them and won't get more for 3-5 months. I now need to find a new storage solution for my 100s of cigars. My options are to wait or use a 20% discount code offered to buy a new unit. I am at a loss here and feel stranded.

The LOUD whirring and clicking is awful. This price point deserves better insulation. Needs to come with 5 drawers instead of 3. Impossible to determine water level. Customer service unresponsive.

Good purchase, but needs some improvements

Fits a ton of cigars, love the lighting and the overall look. Buttons for control panel could use to light up. It would be nice to be able to see the amount of water in the tank without undergoing a time consuming project. And lastly WHY IS IT SO LOUD!!! The thing is pinging, binging and making more noise than a malfunctioning droid. Be aware that wherever you place it, it will make noise. A lot and rather annoying noise. If you have a place to put it where the noise doesn't matter, then get this unit. Everything else is just a suggestion for improvement.
