- A: The Sturbridge lamp post has a bit of a gloss to it but it isn't shiny. You can certainly paint it, however it will void your warranty. I would recommend using a Krylon Fusion paint with a UV inhibitor if you decide to paint it for best results!3 years agoHelpful?
