Q: I can find the medium and xl size rustic lodge here but not the jumbo sized one. I am concerned this house won't fit the Retriever dog run/pen in 5x10x6h where it sits outside the pen and the dog enters and exits through the fence into the dog house.

- A: This should work. The interior dimensions for that item are as follows: Side-to-Side: 37.25"; Front-to-Back: 23.3"; Max Height: 25.25". The rule of thumb to properly size a dog house is the dog should be able to easily enter, turn around inside and rest with nothing hanging out. If you goal is to provide protection and comfort, this rule of thumb will allow your pet's body heat to bring the house to a comfort level. Oversized houses make it difficult for this body heating to happen.5 years agoHelpful?

Made from a type of styrofoam, easy to break I broke a top piece but ok to use. Should be a lot bigger size for ex large and it is overpriced for sure.
