You listen to the crickets chirping, while you stare at the stars, and just want to have a little bit of light and not get bitten by the bugs? Well, this lantern/ light is the one you need! I've never had something more perfect that fit exactly what I was always looking for. It's quiet, so you have no idea that it is even killing the insects (purple light), and then you also have the regular light (yellow), and then if you want dim like myself use the (purple/yellow) so it's just enough where you can see if you have a drink next to you where it is and its also killing the insects at the same time. It also comes with a cord to charge it, so it's rechargeable, but I only did that the 1st time but the sun has recharged it since and it lasts about a good 9 hours. It's rain resistant, we've had storms here for days and it's still going strong. I almost forgot, the bottom just twists off and that's how you empty the bugs.

It’s attractive and useful all at the same time The light is nice in the evening and when we sit on our deck, we do get quite a bit of annoying insects. This helps with that. The battery life seems to be quite good as well. Will definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve used this the last several weeks….in more instances than I realized we would! It is small so doesn’t take up much room on an end table we have on our front porch. With the solar panel, it automatically comes on so no one has to stop conversation to go get something or remember to flip it on. It has multiple light modes (blue, orange or the combination pictured) so it’s soft light that helps visually but doesn’t impose. It’s lightweight and has a comfortable carry strap so we’ve found it convenient to carry when on nightly walks that may be happening just as dusk begins. Because it’s so lightweight I can see us hanging it inside our tent without issue this summer on camping trips. I’ve been impressed with how long the charge has lasted. I really thought it would be only a day or so but I’ve charged it once and it’s still going strong over a week later. We have gotten multiple compliments from neighbors asking where we got it. I’m actually considering a second for the other end table and for a partner to use when walking if we’re in a group.

It is cool that you can also charge the battery by a provided USB cord, but I didn’t use that feature yet. The ability to switch between a light alone, a bug zapper alone, or a combination light/bug zapper makes it very versatile. It is pretty to look at when turned on in the night. The brush in the bottom of the lantern is useful to clean out any bug debris. This will really get good use in the summer nights, I think!
