The National Plant Network 2.25 gal. Wakaebisu Azalea Plant bears an abundance of elegant shell pink flowers with deep pink speckling. Flowering later than most azaleas, it extends the springtime show and electrifies the late-season landscape with another flush of flowers in fall. Prized for its petite habit, this azalea plant is ideal for containers, woodland gardens, and low borders surrounding tall shrubs. The pink azalea flower performs best in partial shade and well-drained, acidic soil, and draws pollinators into the garden with an abundance of nectar-rich blossoms. A detailed planting guide is included to help you get started.

For additional information on this product, please see the Product Documents section for all downloadable user manuals, installation guides, brochures and warranty statements.

Don't buy unless you HAVE to have wakaebisus.

Don't bother with expedited shipping -- I ordered 2-day shipping and the plants didn't come for a week; when I called to complain, customer service said they only honor the 2 days AFTER the supplier ships, and National Plant Network was in no hurry to ship and had no customer service number. The plants are very small, and scraggly. Not developed or well-shaped. Yes, they are healthy, but you'll need a lot of patience before they develop into anything. Very disappointing. If you don't have to have wakaebisus, buy something else (warning: both Tractor Supply and a very large home improvement retailer offer wakaebisus, and they both come from the same supplier).

Worth the wait for healthy, rare azalea

The plants did not arrive at the store at same time, so I had to check back with the store over the course of 5 days to to pick them up when they did arrive. However, the plants were all in excellent shape, form and health when they did arrive. I have yet to find this variety at local nurseries and the quality of the plants from the "National Plant Network" is so good it's hard to beat the value. Also the staff at my local store were very helpful and easy to deal with overall. Excellent customer service really.
