The National Plant Network 2.5 qt. Flame Creeper Azalea Plant bears an abundance of slightly ruffled cherry-red blossoms when most azaleas have finished flowering in late spring. Its bright blooms deliver an encore performance in the fall, followed by red-tinged foliage that persists through the winter months. Prized for its petite habit, this azalea plant is ideal for containers, woodland gardens and low borders surrounding tall shrubs. The red azalea flower performs best in partial shade and well-drained, acidic soil, and draws pollinators into the garden with an abundance of nectar-rich blossoms.
