The ever compliant Janet Craig Compacta accepts low to medium indirect light, and actually prefers its soil to fully dry between waterings. Also called corn plants, the young deep green leaves of the Janet Craig grow close together with a sharp, spiky appearance. As the plant grows, the leaves elongate, bearing a slight resemblance to the leaves of the corn stalk. Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 9-11, but will perform well as an annual or house plant in all zones. Great in pots for adding a touch of tropical elegance to your space.
