The Mutual Industries Jute Mesh Blanket is easy to install to prevent slope erosion. This tough jute blanket will keep the soil in place and allows the plant or grass to grow. Loosely woven, this mesh blanket has gaps approximately 2 in. x 4 in.

  • 100% woven coir used on slopes up to 2:1 with light to moderate runoff
  • Woven blanket makes a great addition to gear
  • Easy to install to prevent slope erosion

  • Can be pulled and stretched to cover more area
  • Sod staples are recommended to hold the blanket in place

Moldy product works but is a pain to unroll

The product itself seems great. These 2 rolls were obviously kept somewhere outdoors before being shipped -- the burlap wrap on the outside was half rotted off, and the actual mesh material was stuck tightly together with white & yellow mold, making it difficult & time-consuming to unroll. So, probably a Tractor Supply storage issue. The dust/mold spores coming off as I unrolled them made me instantly start wheezing, so I had to wear a dust mask throughout the project.

Easy to use, covers well and helps promote seeding. Better for the environment than straw blankets that have plastic netting.

The jute was easy to instal, and to plant with. We had torrential rain yesterday, and it stopped all the earth from eroding on steep front yard.
