Q: How could this possibly keep chemicals out if it allows water to get through? If water can get through Im fairly certain any sort of liquid will permeate this barrier just the same. Pls be more clear what exactly you mean by "chemical" then?

Landscape Fabric

I found this is the best landscape fabric out there. Tractor Supply also has the best price on it and ordering online for in store pickup was flawless. They made the process easy and I will be considering them more often for other items.

Plastic, not "cloth" as the name implies.

The description of "fabric" is incorrect. It is interwoven plastic. Although it DOES let water thru, which is what i had hoped. I would not purchase again to line my raised beds with. I use small wire mesh underneath, to keep moles/mice/ other "diggers" out, then line the beds with a cloth type substance, to hold the good compost inside, keeping watering to a minimum. So this will work for my purposes, just wish it was a more sustainable/natural product. I admit, I was in a hurry, maybe didnt read description and previous reviews as throughly as i should have. It was used inside 3 beds before i realized the workers had used it. I will be looking forward to finding maybe hemp based product, now that growing hemp in some states is legal and becoming more readily available.

It is what it is

People complaining that it’s not “cloth” are wearing clothing made almost entirely out of plastic.

Maybe not exactly 100ft

Seems like a great weed barrier and I'm not trying to be overly critical but this "100ft" roll only measured out at 92ft. This is usually not a big deal but my small garden was designed to take 5- 20ft runs and now row 5 is 8ft short. Now the dilemma, do I lose 8ft to weeds or pony up another $50 to cover for the shortcoming?

Yes, I recommend this product.
