No arch support=bad in a work shoe

No arch support essentially is bad--Good arch support is a necessity for people working hours in books/shoes. For me they are for working on/around my house. But I'll still have to pay extra for arch support inserts. They are rather stiff, so will take time to break in. I like the pink color & the colors of the 2 sets of laces that seem to be strong. They are not meant to be winter boots, so if they are to be worn below about 40°-45°, size up to have room for heavy socks; steel toes can mean cold toes. Last -- How am I supposed to know more about how & how well they'll wear, when I' asked before I've had time to use them more than a couple times? I, personally, would not buy them again due to lack of arch support; that can be worked around by spending extra for supporting inserts for just the arch area.
