Q: Can you use this for a different brand of feeder or does it have to be. Moultrie feeder?

  • A: Thank you for your question! If you purchase the standalone motor kit, you do not have to use it with a Moultrie Hopper. You can use another hopper. The kit should come with a quick-lock adapter to install on a hopper as well. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call at 1-844-908-1219. Q: Will the Moultrie Feeder Activator, (remote control) work with this? Is it needed to set the feeder off on demand or can the phone app that Blue Tooths to it set the feeder off on demand?

  • A: Thank you for your question. Yes, the Moultrie Feeder Activator (remote control) will work with the Moultrie Pro Hunter III feeder. The Feeder Activator isn't necessary for on-demand feeding with the Pro Hunter III. The feeder has built-in Bluetooth connectivity that pairs with the free Moultrie Mobile app on your phone, allowing you to trigger a feed manually (on demand) when you're within Bluetooth range (typically up to about 100-200 feet, depending on conditions). You can also use the app to adjust schedules, check estimated feed levels, and sync times with sunrise/sunset—no subscription is required for these Bluetooth features.

New batteries required in addition

Bought 4 of these to replace some older feeder motors, I liked that I could access the timer with a latch, instead of the bottom screw. Then realized the would need to replace all my batteries because they didn't want to make it 0. 5 inches longer. . . Big miss on their part.

Go back to being able to use 6V Spring Top

Please go back the pro Hunter II for 6V spring top. There are little to no slide top batteries to fit other than the batter designed specifically by Moultrie. Bad design.

Bought this hub with the hopes that I could make an additional feeder with the quick lock kit it comes with but the kit only had two connectors. Really disappointing 😞 But over all i love this feeder! I have two 200 lbs feeders and just bought an 250 lb feeder for year round service
