The Monticello 12 ft. L x 8 ft. W Black Polycarbonate Greenhouse is constructed from the highest quality extruded aluminum and electrostatically painted black. Guaranteed to contain 0.0% lead. The MONT uses professional grade 8mm twin wall polycarbonate, the same thickness as used in commercial greenhouses. The twin wall polycarbonate acts as a double pain window keeping cooler air in during warm months and insulating the greenhouse in the wintertime. This makes the MONT more efficient to grow in for a longer period of time and adds to the efficiency of growing, cutting down electric bills. At 7 ft. 6 in. tall at the peak the MONT's above average interior height design helps with displacing heat within the greenhouse. From the integrated base to the built in rain water gutter system, to the automatic roof vent opener and to the newly redesigned hinged double doors with an opening of almost 6 ft. H x 4 x 1/2 ft. W. 3 years ago- A: Per the provided manual: After choosing a location, proper preparation of the site is essential. The site must be level. The greenhouse must be mounted to a base. Construct the base first so the greenhouse can be securely mounted. We recommend constructing a wood platform base using a perimeter of two by fours filled with either soil ,sod or gravel. Other suitable base options include wood decks and concrete slabs. Wood screws are included to secure the green house to a woodbase.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: I see the one in the picture is set atop a concrete slab. Does this greenhouse need to be on a slab or can it be assembled and stand on dirt or DG bottom?

Q: I have been comparing your different Monticello models, and this is the first one that I notice mentioning an 'interior shade system' yet there's no further description of what that is or how it works or photo to elucidate.
