- A: The manufacturer does not recommend them for guinea pigs because it has a steep climb and guinea pigs are not climbers. We would recommend Guinea Habitat SKU# 1061014 and MidWest Homes for Pets Guinea Habitat Plus SKU# 1061015 instead.6 years agoHelpful?

It’s a habitat

The first one I ordered, came quickly, but box was severely damaged. Ordered same one from tractor supply, it too longer, but the packaging wasn’t damaged. When assembling, all the ramps were bent terribly ( still don’t know how to get those replaced) several of the metal racks were missing holes to attach to, so we had to drill them. The plastic trays are all warped, and no clips to keep them sturdy? I feel like they could topple with pressure. Our critter only weighs 2 pounds, but I worry still that they may give way. The doors were offset, and to top it off, it’s not remotely the same color as on the box or the website. It’s a very light grey, like Sheetrock, so definitely not as advertised. All in all, it was too much trouble to return, it’s 100 pounds, it is a habitat and we have made it work. Just a bit disappointed in the quality control.
