- A: Repeater Channels Your MXT115 has the ability to access repeater channels. The use of a repeater can significantly increase a radio’s range and coverage area. Prior to using a repeater you must coordinate with the owner of the repeater to gain permission to use the repeater. Be sure to understand and follow the sharing and usage rules for each repeater system. To Set the Repeater Channel: 1.Press and release the Menu button to place the radio in “Menu” mode. 2. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to scroll through the menu options until the LCD display shows rP 3.Press the Monitor/Scan / button to confirm your selection. 4. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to select ON or OFF. 5.Press the Monitor/Scan / button to confirm your selection. YOU MUST PRESS THE MONITOR/SCAN BUTTON TO CONFIRM YOUR SELECTION OR THE REPEATER CHANNEL SELECTION WILL NOT BE CHANGED ▪ When activated the repeater channels will be displayed as the channel number (Ex. 15,16,17,ect.) and the rP icon ▪ Repeater channels will appear immediatly following the standard GMRS channels (ex: 20,21,22,15rP,16rP17rP etc)9 years agoHelpful?

MXT115 MicroMobile: Works ok. Small that it fits in small cars or smaller places/spots within the car. The mic itself has a soft light in under the front lower buttons to more easily spot and orient the mic when you are in dark conditions. I never find my 115 device to get hot or warm at all, mine stays room temp cool. I got a 10 year old Motorola walkie talkie that I cannot hear the 115 on, but I'll try buy a set of walkies to see if they work both ways with my 115.

I have purchased 10 mxt 115 radios and have mounted most of them in trucks tractors and combines. They are an excellent value, easy to install and work well. We are fetting at miimum 5 miles and up to 12 miles of range with them. The noise cancelling mics work great in noisier cabs. They also work great with our other Midland mobile and handheld radios. My only complaint was with the biult in speakers not being loud enough in some applicatuons..Auxilliary sprakers solved that. I would definatly buy these radios again.
