This polyester and cotton blend clothesline is strong and durable. It has low stretch and excellent abrasion resistance. Tight braid ensures the line maintains its shape and runs smoothly over pulleys. Using a clothesline can help keep your electricity costs down and reduces wear-and-tear on clothes. Do not use for overhead lifting. Never exceed the Safe Working Load (SWL).
- A clothesline has very specific requirements:
- It must have low stretch so it will not sag under the weight of wet clothes.
- It must be durable and maintain a round shape to run constantly and smoothly over pulleys.
- It must have UV resistance to withstand degradation by constant exposure to sunlight.
- Due to its low stretch, abrasion resistance, and UV-resistance, polyester is the perfect material for this application.
- Cotton is often added to polyester in clotheslines for the softer to the touch feel of a polyester cotton blend.
