Mazuri Omnivore Feed, 40 lb. Bag

Wanted to start feeding the Opossums a healthier food as compared to the cat kibble they've been eating because they get this disease called M.B.D (Metabolic Bone Disease) which is is a severe, often fatal, nutritional disease caused by a lack of calcium,Vitamin D and other nutrients.It causes weak, brittle bones, severe pain, loss of grip, and paralysis.So i figured we'd give this food a try after it being recommended by a wildlife rehabber. The pellets are on the larger size but I just mix a little water in the bowl with them and its perfect.After putting it out the 1st night, I came back to empty bowls the next day and after a few weeks of feeding this food I come out to empty bowls daily.So safe to say my Opossums seem to love this food and my Raccoons also love it. I'm happy knowing they are eating a highly nutritional meal daily!

Bought this item as a meal base for raccoon, but after three days of no food she still won't eat it. I would like the larger size for Mazuri insectivore diet, which she loved as kit.

I have 4 skunks (2 adults and 2 juveniles), raccoon and an opossum that have been eating the cat food I’ve been feeding outdoor cats that apparently were abandoned. After researching a better food choice for the wild animals, I bought the omnivore food pellets. Long story short, they seem to like the food. They are also notably larger in size and appear to be very healthy. Yes, I agree, the pellets are a little large for this size animal. But is simple to just break down in bag with mallet. I also add homemade chicken stock (no salt or other add ins) to soften.

The kibble is way too big. I have read great things about Mazuri food, though. I do t recall the size of the kibble in the description.
