They claim that this lock is made of steel it's actually cast metal it might have a little bit of Steel in it but there's not enough Steel in it that magnet will stick to it. This will probably slow him down but it's not stopping them from getting the trailer there is a unit that looks just like this they claim it's made out of stainless for $20 more it would probably be the better one

I bumped it while backing up. It would not unlock, my fault entirely. However, I was a bit surprised how easy it was to knock it off with a hammer. One swing & it broke right off. Not very secure.
