A shrub-like deciduous tree with slender airy branches. Attractive burgundy red foliage emerges during spring then turns to scarlet red in the fall. Bloodgood is a very cold hardy selection because it is late to leaf out, missing late freezes. This cultivar also grows great in high heat areas and is very sun tolerant. The color and hardiness make Bloodgood' a perfect addition that brings timeless beauty to any location.

Completely disappointing don’t ever order online

So much smaller than described, completely disappointed the people at the store don’t even open. The box won’t open the box say they’re not responsible because you ordered online don’t ever do that. Take my word for it.

Beautiful potted and staked 4 ft tree. Arrived with buds. I ordered a second one, and after planting, both are leafing out beautifully. These are very well priced, too, as Japanese bloodgoods tend to be expensive.
