Our queen excluders are made from durable, low carbon steel. They are precision welded to provide a precisely spaced grid, with the wire grid edged (bound) with metal on all sides. This results in an excluder that is both highly effective, safe for the bees, and built to last for years to come! A queen excluder is used to restrict the queen's movement up into the honey super while allowing worker bees to move freely. This ensures that the honey supers contain only honey and not brood (eggs, larvae, and pupae).
