Grey primer does not dry
(Sept 2020, Ontario NY) Purchased Majic primer quart and black enamel as a protective top coat. The plan was to provide renewed protection to rockers and underside of my 2010 truck, after much sand blasting. I also blasted some blistered roof spots near the windshield seam. The primer at the bottom of the can was a near solid mass. Took most of 15 to 20 minutes to mix well and still had to screen out some lumps. At this point the doubts started. Paint should not be this difficult to work with. My thinking was maybe even new primer has a shelf life. I primed a few small test areas including the roof spots. Conditions were near perfect, comfortable humidity and mid 70’s with sun. After 24 hours this primer was still too soft to either sand or paint over. I thought maybe the roof spots had been too hot to have primed but test samples in our shaded barn where also uncured. I scrapped it all away , which was easy, and went with a different product on hand. Not sure what to do. The black mixed up ok but have not tested it yet.

Works great if you follow instructions
Works well if you don't apply it to thick or don't let it dry for 24hrs before applying paint. If you do it right gives you a nice hard finish.
Yes, I recommend this product.

GOOD STUFF
I don't get what the big stink is all about. I tried this product, followed their recommendations for prep and application and waited for it to dry (24hrs). I was skeptical about the dry time, It seemed like it shouldn't take that long, but it did. So does epoxy. This stuff dries hard, sands well and does not let go. See for yourself. I will continue using their line.
