The next evolution in our MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) line, the MBUS 3 incorporates the best features, strengths and value of our original MBUS and MBUS Pro Sights in a feature-packed back-up sight system. Significantly reduced in size from the MBUS, it sits at just 0.47" high when folded, 1.38" at its widest point, and weighs a scant 25 grams with hardware. Its aesthetics are derived from the MBUS Pro, but the MBUS 3 Front Sight is constructed of our impact-resistant polymer, making it lightweight and extremely durable. Featuring the same spring-loaded technology as its predecessor, they can be deployed with an ambidextrous push-button. The MBUS 3 Front Sight sits at standard AR-height when deployed and includes tool-less elevation adjustment of a dual width enhanced front post similar to the MBUS Pro. MBUS 3 Sights will be available in Black, Flat Dark Earth, and OD Green. Made in the USA.

Purchased to replace a lost 1st Gen front sight. Works well with the 1st Gen rear sight. Smaller footprint (nice!) different activation method.

Great Backup Irons Option

During initial install it was tight to get onto the top rail and required some finesse and wiggling to get into proper position but has not moved since tightening. Turret adjustment knob is stiff to move compared to rear sight but tactile enough to count rotations if more than one adjustment was made on accident.

Threaded inserts are not very durable

Just purchased recently for an ALG Defense AR15 EL Corto pistol and the front MBUS 3 sight threaded insert broke loose while tightening! The threaded insert is not a nut like the Gen 2's and is round, so not much force is needed to cause the threaded insert to break loose and start turning in the polymer sight. The MBUS 2 was way better. Just purchased the Meprolight MEPRO FRBS to replace.

No, I do not recommend this product.
