Placing a fireback on the back wall of your fireplace shields masonry from 1/3 of the heat that would otherwise cause deterioration while radiating more heat and reflecting more light from the fire into the room. The 14 gauge stainless steel construction is lighter weight than cast iron, allowing for easier placement. The fireplace fireback's slotted base allows for adjustable installation from 65 to 90 degrees.
