Leupold's aluminum Rifleman mounts are an economical alternative to steel mounts, yet these rings and bases still provide the strength and accuracy you expect from Leupold. This model is designed to fit a 3/8" rail, while using any riflescope with a 1" main tube. Our Rifleman mounting systems add exceptional strength to your rifle without adding excessive weight. Rifleman scope rings are made with the proven cross-bolt design and will fit Rifleman scope bases, as well as any Weaver-style scope base. The Rifleman 2-piece bases provide a reliable, highly stable platform for mounting Weaver-compatible optics. Constructed of anodized aluminum with steel screws, these bases install easily on a variety of rifles and shotguns, and offer lasting rigidity for reliable performance in tough environments.

These raised rings are just high enough and provide a generous see-thru aperture to use the stock iron sights on a Browning BLR. As always the Leupold scope I use provides excellent clarity in low light conditions.

I have only checked these

I have only checked these rings for fit and any defects. I have not checked them for any possible loosening or design flaws after shooting the rifle on which they are mounted. As for the fit, the clamps were initially a tight fit to the extent they were a bit of a challenge to install on the picatinny rail. Once on I was able to slide them along the rail with just the right amount of effort with zero rotational slack. The threads on all the connectors were made well. The anodizing appears to meet standards. I believe the scope will be held in place without the need of shims . The only manufacturer flaw is the saw cut marks left where the extrusion was cut to length (barely noticeable). Just a little more effort on each end and i would call them perfect. They look good on the gun.
