Q: Would this lid or the snap on lid allow this jar to be filled with something like a creme brulee and submersed in a sous vide unit? Would the lids keep out the water but allow air to escape? Thank you

- A: Hi! They have an inner seal on the underside of the twist lid that performs well during a standard water bath canning or the traditional inversion method as well. For the sous vide process, we recommend the Jam Jar with Twist Lid, or any of the Le Parfait Super jars or terrines that have a clamp lid with rubber seal. Jam Pots would be perfect for a layered parfait with ready-made yogurt, or many other uses (drinking glasses, leftover storage, preserving jams with paraffin, dry goods snacks to go, etc).
