Review of Larin Bench Vise
I purchased the 5" vise ~ 3 months ago and have used it ~6-8 times since then. On about the 3rd use, the retaining ring that allows the vise to rotate stripped out while tightening the retainers to lock it in place to thread a piece of metal. This was repaired. Today, while using the vise to bend some heated 3" wide x 3/16" thick metal brackets (by bending with a 1 foot bar-not by hitting), the base ring that mounts the vise to the table broke into two pieces. Save your money and buy a quality vise.

Garbage quality
After only having used it 3 or 4 times, some spring inside the vise clamp failed, so that as I twisted the handle to the main screw, the main screw came out of the vise for over an inch of its length, then started opening the vise jaws, but only with difficulty. Obviously, with this problem, the jaws would not open all the way. Larin does not make good products. They only back their products up with a 30 day limited warranty. That shows you how long they think their vise will last. If you need a vise, go somewhere else. This one is garbage.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great little bench top vise
Great little 6 inch vise for light duty work. Was perfect for my welding projects, the jaw height and width was perfect. The knurling on the vise jaws held tight without marking up what was being held.
