Estrella Alfalfa Horse Pellets are formulated to be fed to horses of all ages. Feed at a rate of 1.5% to 2% of body weight per horse, per day depending on body condition and work intensity. For example: a 1000 Lb. horse = 20 Lbs. of Estrella per day. Multiple Feedings throughout the day are recommended, dividing the total intake into equal portions. Soak the pellets in a container of water for horses with sensitive teeth or difficulty chewing. All horses should always have free choice water.
Gradually replace existing hay with Lakin product over a 7-day period.
