Was thrilled to be able to order these pellets for our aged equine. I have relied on Lakin pellets for as long as I have had horses, which has been a lifetime. We relocated to northern NV and I have not been happy with the alfalfa pellets we have been able to get here. Our old fella just didn't eat them with the same enthusiasm as he did his Lakin pellets. I was recently blown away to discover that I could order Lakin pellets to be shipped to store. I placed an order and now my 35 year old guy is chowing down on his soaked pellets with gusto again. I love the overall quality and consistency of this feed.

We feed soaked pellets. Our horses eat them all gone. No waste. No picking through hay and eating leaves one day and stems the next. No weird pesticide taste the horses dislike. No hay blowing away. No mold in the hay, no trash. We have saved soooo much money on feed by switching to pellets. We soak with hot water in the winter 3 hours prior to feeding. This gives them a nice warm meal. And in the summer we soak wuth water from a water barrel we keep in the sun outside. As soon as we feed, we start soaking for the next meal.

My animals like it and there is no waste but it is more expensive than the brand I normally use.
