The Wander Hammock hangs securely between the front and back seats, providing a barrier that blocks access to the front seat while providing full protection to your car's seats. There are eight points of attachment that guarantee a secure fit. We also added a center zipper that can be unzipped and folded down to provide space for a human passenger. Openings allow access to seat belts.

Dog can jump right over it

My dog can easily just jump over this. I thought with the soft bottom she wouldn't be able to. It holds up well to wear and tear and prevented dog barf from getting on my seat when the dog got carsick and the cover was easy to clean. Next time I would buy a cover that also protects the doors since she likes to look out the window. Easy to take in and out of the car when you have passengers.

Though some dogs may be deterred from trying to move into the front by the presence of the hammock, as it is soft, it would typically not prevent determined dogs from pushing through/over into the front. It worked for a while, fit was just ok

This may have been a little large for the back seat of my car, because I had to wrap the straps multiple times to get it tight enough that the whole hammock didn't just hang loosely from the back of the front seats. A couple of the plastic clips on the seat straps broke within the first year, and into the 2nd year I noticed that the waterproof layer on the bottom started to peel off. We do go out often and we camp a lot, so maybe it got a little more wear than from the average person. That being said, it did protect my seats from there same abuse that the hammock went through, and they still look fine under it. So while it didn't hold up for as long as I would have hoped, it served its purpose for a couple years.

It does sound, too, as if this hammock may not be the best fit for this space- though straps can be tightened, they would not need to be wrapped extra times for the hammock to be installed as intended. This hammock is around 55" wide, and around 56" tall/from the top of the back seat to the portion hanging from the front headrests. The extended size has the same height/distance between seats, but would be around 63" wide.

Works in a two door car!

It is impossible to find a hammock seat cover for a two door car. The other designs that are out there just don't work. They are either way to wide to work with the headrest on a narrower back seat, and/or they don't actually allow access for the dog from the front door. However the Kurgo Hammock actually works. I have a Saab convertible, so I just unhook the loop on one of the front headrest and unzip the middle which allows one half of front side of the hammock to drop down and provide access for my german shepherd (shedder). Then I just zip it up, reclick and go. The quality of this product is excellent, so I am confident the zipper and clasp won't break. We have the same hammock that we have been using for over a year in our other car (a wagon), and are extremely pleased. Plus it is truly waterproof and helps reduce the amount of dog hair and dirt that comes forward in the car. It is absolutely saving my upholstery.
