This is a good product that only takes up half the back seat, which is exactly what I needed. It was easy enough to set up and feels like a good quality item. The only issue is if you use a seatbelt attachment for your dog. You have to make sure to really tuck the buckle under the hammock's opening and try to seal the opening with the Velcro cover. Otherwise, your dog will likely step on the buckle and release it. It happened a couple of times before I learned to make sure it's really tucked in there every time. I'm using it in a Subaru Sedan and it's a good fit. I have not tried it on our SUV yet.

I really enjoy the product, it is a great gift for anyone with a dog that likes to jump in the front seat.

Great design and functionality. Love the water proof material. I've literally put a fully-covered-in-mud dog (long story) in there, then by the end of the long drive, all I had to do was brush out the mud that had dried into dirt. The soft fabric side just doesn't absorb much so it's easy to clean. Fast and easy to install/uninstall. The hook that holds the door-side flap down is a little tricky to get secure depending on the model car. I do really like being able to isolate the dog to a specific part of the backseat (vs just having a seat cover). This keeps any dirt and hair contained, whereas a seat cover would protect the seats themselves, but allow dirt and hair to fall down to the floor. Unfortunately, I have had a couple of the buckles break. Full metal or heavy duty buckles would be a much appreciated upgrade. I keep the straps pretty tight so that the fabric stays tight and firm. But then when my dog leaned up against the side on a sharp turn, it broke a buckle. So now I have to tie that strap off instead of just clipping it to the headrest bar. Granted, my dog is large and heavy so for smaller dogs, the plastic buckles should be super good enough for any weight and force.

This hammock works extremely well for our Australian cattle dog Blue heeler mixed with a Llewellyn setter. she enjoys going for rides knowing that knee ride will lead to some sort of outdoor physical activity. she's usually pretty laid back hanging out. just relaxing the entire way within this little hammock. the hammock keeps most of the dirt dust and hair off of the car seats and does a great job with moisture.
