KBS Coatings Cavity Coater, Quart

KBS Cavity Coater is a single step, super penetrating corrosion inhibiting coating for the inside of enclosed metal, the frame rails, rocker panels, doors, tailgates, and floor seams where primers and topcoats cannot reach and where trucks, trailers, and equipment usually rot first. It wicks into welds and seams by capillary action, displaces water on contact instead of trapping it, and cures to a self healing film rated for more than 4,000 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray on steel. It goes over bare, painted, or lightly rusted metal once loose scale is knocked off and stops the rust from getting worse. This bulk size is thinned 30 to 50 percent with KBS number 1 Thinner or mineral spirits and sprayed through a KBS Schutz Underseal Spray Gun with a 48 inch 360 degree wand at 90 to 150 PSI. The quart covers about 200 sq ft at 1 mil. Made in the USA.Knock off loose, scaly rust that is easy to reach, and clean any grease or oil with KBS Klean. The surface must be dry. If a cavity has no drain hole, drill one at the lowest point, which can also serve as the access hole. Stir 3 to 5 minutes before and after thinning 30 to 50 percent with KBS number 1 Thinner or mineral spirits. Spray through a KBS Schutz Underseal Spray Gun with a 48 inch 360 degree wand at 90 to 150 PSI, spraying only as you pull the wand out, about 2 inches per second. Apply between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in one thin coat of about 1 mil, let it wick into seams for 10 minutes, and wipe off excess with mineral spirits. Apply it last, after every exterior coating has fully cured, because RustSeal will not stick to Cavity Coater overspray. Turn off electrical power before spraying near fuse and relay panels.
