Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought it to remove rust from an old smoker. I initially purchased the black label black diamond coarse abrasive that was available in the store. This blaster will not run it. It clogs instantly. I went back and purchased the red label black diamond abrasive and it works like a champ. The stuff goes everywhere though so I recommend using the supplied hood and also purchasing an OSHA approved respirator. The supplied blasting nozel/gun works OK but it's not a great design. I recommend also getting a better one. It works but it has some drawbacks like the abrasive will take a chunk out of the sealing surface after about an hour and it also deflects the abrasive in another direction unless you're using it at wide open. It the blaster also generally doesn't operate below 40 psi. So make sure you have a good compressor to run it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic Pot Blaster, Used a LOT for years - OKAY!!! I bought this maybe 5 years ago initially to blast a wood sign that was masked to create a relief effect background. At the time I had a 10 gal single stage compressor from a frightening harbor and it did get me through the job. lots of stopping and starting, waiting for the compressor, AND waiting for air to make its way into the pot blaster. Definitely need to use the fine media. I screen mine through a few layers of aluminum window screen. usually trust it out of the bag, but i reuse it as much as possible. just set up a kiddie pool and a tarp and it collects probably 80% of the stuff depending on how lazy i am. I use a 50' 3/8" hose with 3/8" fittings so the compressor to pot flows alot quicker. i forget if it even came with a regulator, if it did, i took it off . After a few years of using it off and on, the valves started leaking, so I would get constant leak through the nozzle, and the media valve would leak so it would build up and get a little clogged. I've used it enough to wear out the nozzle and the valve sealing stopper on the deadman. Just this year i replaced the hose valve and the media valve. and it works mint again, maybe even better than new. I play catch up with my compressor, so once everything is up to pressure, I just crack the hose flow and work the media valve open until its a good balance. I can use the deadman and it blasts consistently with no clogging. only when air pressure drops i have to re-balance the flows. no issues with either of the hoses. spray hose looks like its going to fall apart but it hasnt yet. and this thing has lived outside its while life, sometimes under a tarp. mag wheels, moto frames, frosting glass, wood signs. works great. I'm happy to have it at my disposal as a handy man and a hobbyist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small but HD consumer grade blaster Assembly was easy, set up was well explained in the supplied lit. I was derailed initially by wet Black Beauty med grit. My first bag was way too wet and clogged instantly. After clearing the tank and refilling with dry material, the blaster worked great for my running board refinishing. Medium grit cut the bonded rubber leftovers, rust and paint. It's a heavy duty home unit, well built and easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating Started out OK but quickly struggled with clogging, hose blowing out, inability to regulate volume of media coming out bottom - all this despite staying within the recommended maximum 80 grit blasting media (glass beads) Now no media comes out the bottom, no way to disassemble to find out why. Waste of time and money
