We are using it to cover hay that would not fit in the barn and it is holding up very well.

Bought this tarp to cover our hay which we are storing in the alley of our raised center aisle barn. For ventilation purposes our barn is designed so that the area between the upper and lower roofs is open. During strong rainstorms with driving winds, sometimes rain can be blown inside our barn. Within 2 1/2 months after covering our hay, the top tier of the bales was wet. When we scrutinized this tarp we saw that the weave is highly porous and thus not very water repellent.
