I’ve had these kinds of hoses in the past and they all felt flimsy. This one feels heavier duty and will hopefully last for years.

I was highly disappointed in the length. Other similar expandable hoses were longer than the stated length. This one feels a few feet short of the 50, my guess is between 45-48 feet. My precise standard rubber hose was 50’ and reached my bird bath. This fifty footer falls about 3’ short.
