The Husqvarna A2400 27 in. Universal Axe is ideal for a variety of wood cutting applications. The axe head has a non-stick coating which reduces friction while cutting. The fiber-reinforced shaft with a stainless steel component protects the handle while ensuring a long product life. This hand tool is designed for perfect balance and weight distribution. This multi-purpose axe can be used as a hammer in conjunction with regular splitting wedges (no steel wedges).

Nice tool for felling & firewood work

a month ago

Nice modern all purpose axe that I will carry for felling jobs. Good head weight, hardened pole for wedging, handle not too long or too short,it will bust limbs,chop,& split well enough, saves my vintage axes from abuse.

I bought this axe in the winter and use it almost everyday at work. It has held up better than any wood handled axe I’ve owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this last year after using the S2800 and deciding I wanted a similar backup axe. It has now become the primary work axe and gets used weekly on a variety of tasks. It truly is multi purpose, splits well, chops well, and the lack of an eye and hard poll makes it extremely robust. Rarely experience any uncomfortable shock from the handle. Handle is shaped well and doesnt require a tight grip to keep in your hand while swinging. Highly recommend
