This Hobart Aluminum ER5356 Welding Wire is a general-purpose type aluminum alloy which is typically chosen for its relatively high shear strength. When exposed to salt water, this aluminum welding wire offers excellent corrosion resistance. The ER5356 aluminum of this Hobart welding wire should be used for welding 5000 series aluminum base metals. As it is all-purpose, the ER5356 aluminum of this .035 in. welding wire is the most widely used of all aluminum filler metals.

Q: Can it be used in a metal man fc125

  • A: I would say no.  The wire works best with a spool gun and you need a shielding gas.
