- A: Howdy neighbor! This pre-mounted Hi-Run trailer tire and wheel assembly does not come dynamically balanced with wheel weights from the factory. When manufactured, the tire's low spot is simply matched to the wheel's high spot to prevent severe out-of-balance conditions. While this setup is standard and perfectly safe for heavy-duty towing, you will want to take the assembly to a local tire shop for a formal "lug-centric" balance if you plan on using it for long-distance highway hauls or travel trailers.16 days agoHelpful?

These are incorrectly advertised as 10 ply. They are actually 10 "ply-rated". The old bias ply tires were 10 ply. When they designed and built steel belted radicals, they made the E rated 5 actual plies. It's a 10 ply-rated tire.
