I tested this incubator for a couple days before setting eggs. The humidity holds at about 45 percent. They have a simple way to increase it for lockdown. The temperature on my thermometer read about half a degree cooler than the set temp on the incubator. I set the temp half a degree higher than the preset temp. I think the temp difference is because the sensor is at the top of the incubator and I had mine set on the base without the egg turner in place. I am 7 days into incubating now and all eggs are doing well. Turner works well. Candling is better with my hand held, but you can still see some things with this one. I am happy with this so far, but the biggest thing is just making sure the lid is on securely. I find if I put the back on first and then come forward that it snaps or locks into place easily, but I have to be careful and check it.

Condesation caused Malfunction

I used this incubator for 21 days and has to return it because of the condensation formed from the high humidity caused the electrical panel in the top to malfunction, causing every alarm the machine had to sound constantly as well as make the temperature read 219.45 degrees. It worked great up until the day of hatch. Killed every one of my hatching chicks! Waste of money! Just buy a brinsea!

So worth the money

Works great every egg I put in has hatched at over 90% rate I have hatched 100s of chickens ever 21 days I refill never had one problem just follow the instructions and just really no ready to mess with the eggs after 10 day in there if you want to candle after a week just do it then and leave them be it works perfect
