Q: Can I put turkey eggs in this incubator?

1 Answer
  • CS Specialist
A: Yes, turkey eggs can be incubated in this model. However, depending on the size of the eggs, they may not fit properly in the automatic egg turner. If the eggs do not fit securely, we recommend placing them directly on the incubator screen and manually turning them at least three times per day throughout the incubation period. This will help ensure proper embryo development and improve the chances of a successful hatch.

Needs some things

I am currently trying to hatch turkey eggs, at 20 days all eggs had movement but by hatch day only 7 hatched of 15 eggs. Now I understand that turkey eggs are harder to hatch so there is that. It would be nice if there was an alarm if the humidity or temp gets to low or high and if you would actually see the amount of water that needed to be added as you are adding, when it does get low. Other than that, it is very easy to set up and clean.

Major Design Flaw

Seemed to work well, though only one of three duck eggs hatched. This may have been due to setting the temp at 100 rather than 99.5. However it has a MAJOR design flaw - is this intended as a one-time use incubator, or am I missing something? The floor of the incubator, under the screen is bare styrofoam. Our ONE duckling had quite a few droppings in the 24 hours she remained in the incubator. The droppings are impossible to fully scrub off of the styrofoam. It is not only unsightly, but I'm guessing it doesn't really sanitize due to the pourous nature of styrofoam. I can't imagine what it would look like after a hatch of 40. Doesn't appear to be usable a second time. I wouldn't put clean eggs in here for a second round.

No, I do not recommend this product.
