Q: I have purchased these mealworms for years for my pet chickens. They literally climb my legs and stampede when they see the bag. My question is a couple of bags recently had black dead beetles in them. Are they ok to feed my chickens??

  • A: Yes! The beetles are perfectly safe! Mealworms are actually the larva of the darkling beetle so some just get caught up in the harvesting process.

Great chicken attracter!!

My hens come running from afar for the mealworms when I shake the bag and they see the bag also. Helps me get them all gathered and accounted for. They gobble them right up and climb my legs trying to get more.
