Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uses Water Wisely I have a large yard with three water outlets. Recently, I installed drip irrigation for our becs. The Ground Works timer is an inexpensive way to 'use water wisely'. I use Plant Water Rings for many of my perennials and I know each gets ample water. Shopping around, I found these very reasonable and they are easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from used to be better When I first purchased these a couple years ago, I really liked them. They lasted a couple years. I purchased two this year and the first one only lasted a couple months. The last one lasted two weeks before it started leaking where you turn to set the time. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone at this point. Very disappointing!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs to be maintained Worked good for a month and then would not turn off flow of water even though timer worked. Took it apart, cleaned it, now it works fine again. Take out 3 screws on bottom. Remove bottom being careful not to lose spring and plunger. Pull out stainless pin. Connect to water supply and with hand covering diaphragm to keep from losing it, gradually turn on water until diaphragm pops out. Look for 2 pin point holes in the diaphragm. These holes must be clear of debris so water pressure can equalize on both sides of the diaphragm. Clean out any crud and put it back together. The holes in my diaphragm were plugged with what appeared to be black plastic or rubber flashing that may have been left in the device during manufacture.

I just purchased one. Tried to set it for 10 minutes. It did not turn off and dial never moved. Suggestions?
