- A: Because it uses a single-layer transparent polyethylene fabric cover rather than thick, twin-wall insulated polycarbonate, it functions primarily as a "season extender". It will trap excellent heat during sunny daylight hours, but that heat will rapidly escape into the atmosphere as soon as the sun goes down. Without a heat source, the overnight interior temperature will drop to within 2 to 5 degrees of the outside WARNING! Keep all flames and heat sources away from this fabric shed.The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a flame source. My daughter set up this 6 x 8‘ greenhouse in less than an hour. In the next couple of days we had a storm passed through with wind gusts up to 48 miles an hour. The greenhouse held tight and barely moved in the storm!
