Good hose, good price

Bought this to fill watering cans with after other (new) hose started to kink from day 1 - this leader hose is great! Strong but short enough not get tangled or in the way, such a relief to have a hose that doesn't kink up all the time. Great price, too.

Not good for extended use.

I bought 2 of of these in late September of 2018 to for use as short leader hoses for my cattle water troughs. At first I was happy with them so I purchased a third for a new water trough. In the past week, 2 have failed only 7 months after purchase. Both of these failures are due to cheap construction.
In the first photo you can see that the hose just ruptured in about the middle of the hose. In the lower left you can see a pressure regulator that is set to about 45 PSI. So this hose was not under high pressure by any means.
In the second photo the little red circle marks where the hose end was cracked. This location makes it impossible for the washer to properly seal the hose which results in a constant steam of water leaking out of the end.
Also, the aluminum ends corrode fast. In the second picture, you can see large amounts of oxidation buildup for only 7 months. This will result in the need for pliers to disconnect your hoses. Stick with brass ends.
All in all, if you're just using it to fill a watering can or something it might be okay, but I would not recommend it. I'm not looking forward to this months water bill due to these hoses.

Great quality

As someone who struggles with heavy garden tools, I really appreciate how light this hose is. I can carry and maneuver it all over the yard with one hand. Even when I yank it across rough ground, it rarely kinks. No leaks from the fittings. less than $10 it’s a fantastic deal. Perfect for watering plants and light outdoor cleanup around the house.
