Does not work with Roll-n-Lock Bed Covers

I purchased this item to install on my Ford F150 with a Roll-n-Lock bed cover installed. While the truck step seemed of good solid quality, once installed, I could no longer close the bed cover. The Truck-n-Buddy cannot be used with sliding bed covers such as the Roll-n-Lock system. Unfortunately, I had to return this ite..

Quality product, easy to use

I’m very pleased with my Truck’N Buddy. The installation process was as expected and the product is made of substantial materials. Stepping up into the truck would be the strong point of the product. If one were to break the step, it would be from landing too hard on the step while coming down off the tailgate. I’m not saying the product is going to break in that scenario at all. But just that a person at the upper end of the limit coming down hard on the step will be the real test. Especially after years of use. I’m in the middle of the range and won’t plan to land heavily and I expect no issues whatsoever. We’ve worked with one of our dogs with some success getting them to use it. They should both get it but it hasn’t been automatic in that regard. Our 2014 Ram 1500 sits fairly high so having them jump from the ground to the tailgate directly is a concern as they have had some supervised fails as they try. I expect they will both get the hang of using it.
