This was installed in a Ford Explorer. Before instalking it in a vehicle, make sure the brackets are placed to fit the gun it will carry. It took ten minutes and two open end wrenches to put it in the car. Once it was tightened down it functioned perfectly, and holds the shotgun or AR I'm using it for securely.

This product is a good idea. Pay close attention to how it was manufactured. One of the arms on the unit I received was mis-bent causing the bolt holes to be misaligned. I simply drilled another hole and made it work. Also I plan to add some neoprene washers to eliminate the squeaks and creeks while driving down the road. As stated before, it is a good idea. I expected better quality for the price.
