The Rain Wizard 50 is a rustic, faux oak rain barrel with a distressed wood-grain texture that's highly detailed. It holds 50 gallons and has a fine mesh screen to keep out debris along with front-facing overflow. This barrel features connection points for linking to other rain barrels and a flat-back that can sit right up against exterior walls. A standard 3/4" brass spigot is included. Incredibly strong, this rain barrel can take heavy impacts and holds up against the weather thanks to its sturdy, BPA-free plastic construction. Made in the USA.

Q: What about when it gets cold enough to freeze the water? Does it drain low enough to not freeze or do you disconnect in the winter?

- A: recommendation is to store these barrels completely empty inside garage or basement away from freezing temps; plastic may react to extreme temps and cracking may occur, especially if water is left inside to freeze/expand3 years agoHelpful?
Q: When connected to gutter downspout what happens when it gets full?

- A: You cannot water your lawn or use for a sprinkler; the rain barrel is not designed to work that way. It does not have "water pressure", it is recommended that you raise the barrel off the ground with either a stand or blocks, this will give you the best flow.4 years agoHelpful?

Barnyard water source

I use this in combination with an automatic float to provide continuous water for my barnyard animals. Just add a pail de-icer for winter use.

Shavings inside barrel

The shavings from the holes drilled in the barrel, fell into the bottom of the barrel. The manufacturer should have cleaned those shavings out, as a customer does not know the shavings are there. Shavings clogged up my spout on first use, and was quite annoying.
