The Rain Vault 50-gallon rain barrel is a classic-looking barrel. Modeled after an actual whiskey barrel, this unique rain catcher will provide you with plenty of fresh water while looking great against your home. The top features an anti-debris screen to keep out leaves, and the bottom hosts a high-quality brass spigot for a standard hose connection. The back is flat to sit flush against exterior walls so you don't lose space, and there are connection points that can be used to link barrels together, using the overflow to fill the next barrel. The barrel also has two, deep set handles which are very convenient when moving the Rain Vault.

Q: How do you connect this to a downspout? Do you have to cut a hole into the screen on top for the downspout?

- A: this can either it under the downspout- you cut the spout so it sits approx 3-4 inches above the black screen, or you may choose to use a diverter kita year agoHelpful?
Q: Spigot is leaking. Have used plumbers tape with no luck. Is it a faulty connector?

- A: Without seeing the problem it is hard to say. The spigot may not be in tight enough or to tight. You can try adjusting or try a new spigot. They are standard 3/4 inch spigots2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Why does it say oak in the ad? The verbiage says it's made of resin.

This rain barrel is all one piece, does not have a removal top, very solid and sturdy. It matched the gutter down spout color perfectly, but itself is one color. The picture makes it look like its 2 colors. All the accouterments were as promised and easy to install.
