Great Knife

I bought this knife on a trip, I forgot my knife that I usually carry. I happened to find this one at a local store near my hotel. I love the knife. My only complaint was the blade was dull right out of the box. Luckily I did bring my sharpener, with a few swipes, I was able to get a near razors edge on it. I’m glad to see Gerber makes a good knife still. I grew up in Oregon and have always had a soft spot for Gerber knives.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Somewhat indestructible

I found one of these in the road half way wedged into a manhole,  the blade only has a minor chip towards the tip,  the handle and spring fit tight and don’t have any play, it opens quick as new with a nice kick.  There aren’t even scratches from it getting run over all day

Yes, I recommend this product.

Possibly a legit **FATAL** FLAW. Do not buy

Do not carry this knife in your pocket. The knife has a safety, limiting the risk of it opening by accident, but why remembers to lock in your safety after quickly using your knife. I went to kneel down and felt a sharp poke on my left thigh. I then realized this knife has opened by itself due to it flawed location of pocket clip and means of release. This knife can cause a serious injury due to failed engineering. This knife should have an immediate recall to prevent a severe injury and a lawsuit. Who ever is responsible to designing this knife should be fired. I noticed the flaw immediately after purchasing and was an idiot to proceed to actually clip it to my pocket.

Best everyday utility knife that I have owned

At 66 years of age and having always had an infatuation with knives. I have carried a knife everyday most of my life. So I have used many. This holds securely clipped on my pocked. When I reach for it it loads in my right hand ready to use and the blade is easily deployed, Locked in place, and easily stowed. It easily slides and clips back in my pocket. I have carried this model for years now. The first couple in the early days the lock broke. But Gerber replaced it right away and they seem to have fixed the broken lock issue as I have had this last one for a few years now. I bought another to keep as a back up just incase it gets misplaced. The only down side is that Gerber does not make a reverse model for my left hand.
