I have a hard time finding any footwear that doesn't hurt me after a long day, and I am very tough on shoes. These boots are a rare exception on comfort and durability. They break in after one day, and the balance between firm and soft underfoot is perfect for a sturdy supportive work boot. The upper grips my ankles very well, keeping the boots in place on roofs and ladders. Something about the sole works really well with ladders especially. Anyone who spends time a lot of time on ladders knows what I mean when I say it sucks in most shoes. The entire boot is built very well, with (maybe) exception to the laces. We'll see how those hold up (so far they haven't deteriorated), but otherwise the entire boot seems to endure whatever I put it through. I'm wearing them working construction from sun up to down 7 days a week, and I never think about my boots while I'm on the job. They endure roofing materials, propping up material for cuts, being dragged when I'm kneeling, stepping through demo debris, taking hits from tools or sheet metal, crawling through rafters and insulation, getting rained and snowed on, all kinds of dust (drywall, saw, fiberglass, soil), the cut edges of osb being dragged on top, and every single clumsy kick I've done when I'm moving fast to get things put together. When I get home and take them off, I look over them to see if there is anything I need to do to keep them in good shape. So far all I've had to do is take a lighter to the (small) frays on some of the stitches that take these impacts and scrapes all day, then dust them off with a horse hair brush. Every time I do this I appreciate the great deal I got on them. I still can't believe how well they are doing, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a work boot. Big thanks to TSC support line for helping me get these. The boots went on backorder while I was waiting for them to ship to store. When I called the support line they helped switch my order over to another location that had one pair in stock in my size still, and recreated my order (preserving the sale price) with me on the phone while I drove there to get them. They finished up the whole process 3 minutes before I arrived at the store, and the store was ready for me to be out within 5 mins. TSC support really went above and beyond my expectations to help. As soon as I found out they were on backorder I called, and they had a box in my hands within an hour.

Had these for a year now. These boots share the work load with 5 other boots. They would not last a year otherwise. The shoelace grommets are so sharp that I'm going thru quality red wing shoe laces every 2 months. The inner mesh ripped at the heel quickly making it very hard to take off without lifting the shoe fits up. Putting them on with the rips means large shoe horn is needed. I'd pass on these.
