Cheaply made, bad design

Poor quality, cheaply made, poor fit. At $450 is 20% of the cost of my new lawn tractor. For that I would expect something more substantial. Flimsy plastic and thin fabric bags. Awful for the price. Might last 3 years before I have to duct tape it together. Junk compared to the bagger on my 17 year old Craftsman (RIP). The hinge pin for the lid won't stay in place. The flexible plastic tube keeps popping off while mowing. You can't stand up the flimsy fabric bag with clippings. The bagger takes up a lot of space on the right side of the mower. You can't drive close to anything on that side. My Craftsman was more compact and rugged. Lasted 17 years with no fixes or repairs. I like the Cub Cadet mower. The bagger option alone is a good reason to reconsider.

Hose too short

Hose too short. Have even tried to stretch it by suspending the hose and tying bricks to it. That helps for a short while but if the grass is damp the weight of the grass will cause the hose to pull out of the bagger or come off of the hard hose from the deck.

mtd customer service sucks

purchased from tsc, love tractor supply, they told me to contact mtd to get the missing parts. so i contacted mtd, i was emailed to summit a picture of the receipt of purchase, which i did due to missing all the hardware to assemble and attach to my mower. recieved the hardware package but was missing the mounting hardware to mower, emailed mtd back, they sent me the hardware to put bagger together but not the hardware to attach to mower. i emailed mtd back telling them they didn't send me the right hardware to attach to my mower. just got off the phone with mtd telling the non speaking customer service rep that i sent a picture of the hardware to attach bagger to my mower that i needed the hardware. he tells me to call back tomorrow since computers are down. i refuse to call back as its been a month since i purchased the bagger from tractor supply.i would not recommend dealing with mtd. as far as the bagger all i can say is that it looks nice sitting in my garage due to not being able to attach it to my mower. i would open box at store to make sure all hardware pieces are in the box before leaving.
