My 1st Pro-pointer ll . I have not tried it, but i KNOW it's the best out there. Honestly, i'm 57 and out on disability with spine issues and i think its going to be worse and disabled. I wanted this because its the best and im hoping to detect while i can AND it really doesn't really lose value so when i need to sell my stuff because of health...my wife will get decent money.

I bought this to make it easier to locate an object. It is very durable and waterproof. Shortly before my daughter graduated college, she told me that one of her friends had lost his new class ring in the lake. I asked if he knew about where and she said that he had dropped it by the dock. So I told her that I would go and see if I could find it since I have scuba gear and a metal detector. I arrived and he pointed to an area about 100 feet x 100 feet and said "it's somewhere out there". Well, I was already there. The visibility was zero and the bottom was soft mud. I took my Garrett pro-pointer and started a grid pattern running the pointer along the bottom in about 10 feet of water. I had done the pattern right to left and forward and back to no avail and was almost out of air. I told him that I was going to do a final X pattern across the area and that was it. About halfway through the first pass I got a signal. I stuck my hand down in the mud and low and behold it was the ring. I came up and held my hand up in the air with the ring on my finger. Then I told him that I wasn't turning it over to him until we were on dry ground. He was so happy he didn't have to tell his parents that he brought me a thank you gift the next day. Way to go Garrett Pro-Pointer! You make things so much better with this hobby!
