Garden Safe Brand Slug & Snail Bait kills and controls slugs and snails in or on home lawns, greenhouses, outdoor ornamentals, vegetable gardens, fruits, berries, citrus and crop plants. The slug and snail bait can be scattered on the lawn or on the soil around any vegetable plants, flowers or fruit trees or bushes where snail or slug control is needed. This product contains a unique combination of iron phosphate, which is a plant nutrient that occurs in soils, with slug and snail bait additives. After eating the bait, the slugs and snails cease feeding, become less mobile and begin to die within three to six daysWhen to Apply Apply the bait in the evening, as slugs and snails travel and feed mostly at night or early in the morning. Use it during calm weather when rain isn't predicted for the next 24 hours to help ensure that wind or rain doesn't blow or wash the bait off the treatment area. How to Apply Use a standard broadcast spreader for broadcast application in large areas or a standard granular spreader for row application. Apply the granules evenly, not in piles, on moist soil with little or no standing water. To treat likely areas of infestation, scatter it around the perimeter of your garden, between rows or around the base of individual plants. Post-Application Sweep any product that lands on a driveway, sidewalk or street back onto the treated area of the lawn or garden. Don't allow the bait to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Reapplication Reapply the bait as it's consumed or at least every two weeks. Apply more frequently if the infestation is severe, if the area is heavily watered or after long periods of heavy rain. Always read the entire label before use. Follow all directions and precautions.
